It looks to me as though a working knowledge of the Bootstrap framework is essential for anyone working on websites today. GitHub calls Bootstrap “The most popular HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework for developing responsive, mobile first projects on the web.”

I trust that, if you’re reading this, you haven’t lost your love of learning something a bit new and different, and I’m guessing that time you invest reading (or at least skimming) these posts is time well invested and will save time  and frustration in the long run. 

What is Bootstrap: A Beginner’s Guide

This is a good readable intro. Begin with this, unless  you’re already familiar with Bootstrap. 

How to Use Bootstrap, a CSS Framework

This is very readable.

This is on w3schools.com, one of my favorite resources. I like the fact that you can practice code right on the site and see what it does. 

The Ultimate Guide to Bootstrap CSS

I tend to be skeptical of anything “ultimate,” but this looks to be quite helpful

  • Includes sample code to compare with our site. 
  • Note the section on how to override Bootstrap CSS
  • The section on Bootstrap buttons should be helpful. 
  • We are probably not ready to use the bootstrap grid in 11 days, but it’s best to get acquainted with it. As long as we have a working site, it can be edited to fit the grid.

Replit has a mix of free and paid features. With AI, the secret is in constructing good questions.
